Usability Body of Knowledge

A volunteer rescue — helping migrate the usability profession's collective reference off an aging Drupal install onto a fast, static Astro site.

The Usability Body of Knowledge (UsabilityBoK) is the user-experience community’s shared reference — a deep tree of topics and overviews, a glossary of 85+ cross-linked terms, and an extensive citation library, assembled over years by usability professionals.

A rescue migration. The site had been running on an aging Drupal install. I helped move it onto a modern, fully static Astro build: content collections for the topic tree, overviews, sections and glossary; collapsible hierarchical navigation; APA-formatted references; and clean printer-friendly pages — all served as fast, SEO-friendly static HTML.

Not mine, but glad to help. This one isn’t my project — it belongs to the usability community — but it was a worthwhile cause and a satisfying untangling of years of legacy content into something maintainable.
