Vault & Recall — Privacy Policy

Effective July 6, 2026

The short version

Vault & Recall collects no data about you. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and no servers of mine for your data to travel to. Everything you save lives in your own iCloud Drive and on your devices — nowhere else.

Where your data lives

Saving links

When you save a URL, the app fetches that page once — directly from your device to the website — to pull out the title, author, preview image and other details that make your library searchable. Those requests go straight to the site you're saving; they are not routed through, logged by, or visible to any server of mine.

Photos and files

If you attach a photo or import a file, iOS or macOS asks for the appropriate permission, and the app reads only the items you explicitly pick. Imported files are copied into your library in your iCloud Drive. You can revoke these permissions any time in Settings.

What the app does not do

Children's privacy

The app is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Since the app collects nothing, there is very little that could change.
