Cardio — Support
One person makes Cardio, and that same person answers your email. Here are the questions that come up most; if yours isn't below, just write to me.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need iCloud?
Yes. Cardio stores every reading as a file in your own iCloud Drive, so it needs you signed into iCloud with iCloud Drive turned on. If you see an "iCloud Unavailable" notice, check Settings → your name → iCloud, then reopen the app.
How do I connect my blood pressure monitor?
Open Cardio and tap to pair when prompted, then take a measurement on your monitor so it wakes and starts advertising. Once it's paired, Cardio reconnects to it automatically — take a reading and it's recorded the moment the measurement locks in. The currently supported monitor is the A&D UA-910BLE.
My monitor isn't being found.
Make sure Bluetooth is on, the monitor has fresh batteries, and you're next to it. Start a measurement to wake it, since most monitors only advertise for a short while after use. If it still won't appear, fully close Cardio and reopen it, then try again.
What do the colored bars mean?
They show where your latest reading falls on the American Heart Association's blood pressure categories, from normal through hypertensive crisis. Cardio is not a medical device and doesn't give medical advice — talk to a healthcare professional about your readings.
Can I add a note to a reading?
Yes — right after taking a reading on the Cardio tab, or any time from the reading's detail page. The first line of a note shows in your history list, and notes sync across your devices like everything else.
How do I back up, move, or delete my data?
Your readings are files in your iCloud Drive, so they're backed up with your iCloud account and follow you to a new device automatically. Cardio also has a built-in backup & restore in Settings. To remove a reading, delete it in the app or remove the file in the Files app — it clears everywhere it synced.
